Logistics for workshops

Proposals to host an event
Every year, the IRL-NPA publishes a call to host events (see current and last calls), including scientific conferences, workshops, or schools for instance. More details are given in the text of the current call. The proposal is evaluated by the IRL-NPA scientific board, and the decision is communicated shortly after by the direction of the IRL-NPA. We invite members of the research community to submit proposals that foster innovation and promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the four research areas:

  • Nuclear structure and reactions
  • Nuclear astrophysics
  • Nuclear theory
  • Instrumental developments for facilities like FRIB

Submission Timeline: 6+ Months before the proposed start date to ensure high-quality planning and financial oversight. All proposals must follow our established lead times.

Proposal Requirements

  1. Scientific Justification: The theme, goals, and relevance to the IRL-NPA’s mission.
  2. Proposed Leadership: Identify the key members and organizers.
  3. Logistics: Preferred dates, estimated number of attendees, and space requirements.
  4. Financial Strategy: anticipated cost.

How to Submit:
