About the IRL NPA

The International Research Laboratory for Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics (IRL NPA) is located at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beam (FRIB) on the campus of Michigan State University (MSU). It was established between MSU and the French research organization, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). The activities of the laboratory concern four main research pillars on the physics of atomic nuclei on Earth and in the cosmos: Nuclear Structure and Reactions; Nuclear Astrophysics; Nuclear Theory; and Instrumentation for Experimental Nuclear Science.
