Foster scientific and innovation collaboration. Enhance mobility between France and the United States.

The Office for Science & Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States offers several programs aimed at strengthening French-American collaboration in science and innovation (Flyer).

  • Choose France for Science: US-based researchers wishing to carry out their research in France. website.
  • Choose Europe for Science: Researcher interested in exploring research careers, fundings and collaboration opportunities across the EU. website.
  • Start in France: Researchers, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers or early science-based innovators, or early start-ups based in the US with an innovative project ready to scale and establish a presence in France. website.
  • Fulbright France: American researcher or student wishing to conduct research or study in France and vice versa. website.
  • French-American Doctoral Exchange (FADEX): PhD students registered at a U.S. university whose research relates to the theme defined by the Office for Science & Technology of the Embassy of France in the U.S. website.
  • Chateaubriand Fellowship: PhD students in STEM or Humanities, health/ medicine & Social Sciences registered in a U.S. university. website.
  • Lafayette Fellowship: Students across STEM, Humanities & Social Sciences, and the arts under the age of 27 in possession of a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution. Have a minimum GPA of 3.7 (on a scale of 4.0). website.
